Diversity Defenders
Who are the Diversity Defenders?
The Diversity Defenders are a dedicated group of pupils at Lothersdale Primary School who are committed to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion throughout the school community. The group meets regularly to discuss important topics related to diversity and works together to create a welcoming environment for everyone.
What do Diversity Defenders do?
The Diversity Defenders team takes an active role in running whole-school assemblies and leading workshops on key issues such as respect, understanding differences, and inclusion. They spearhead initiatives like Diversity Week and Anti-Bullying Week, ensuring that every pupil feels valued and supported. Through these events, the group aims to raise awareness and encourage positive attitudes toward diversity across the school.
Why do we have Diversity Defenders at Lothersdale?
We believe it’s essential for every child to feel accepted and appreciated for who they are. Diversity Defenders gives pupils the chance to have a voice in how we approach equality and inclusion, helping to build a school culture that celebrates differences and promotes kindness and respect for all.
