Day 4 at Humphrey Head

Everyone was still asleep at 7:20am this morning so Mrs Fawcett was going to have to wake the children up to give them enough time to get up, have breakfast, make their pack-ups and get ready for the day ahead.

Today is a day on the water! Activities include raft building and canoeing and we're sure these activities will be new experiences for many of the children. The weather looks promising and everyone is keeping their fingers crossed that it doesn't rain, although there'll probably be lots of falling into the water so spare clothes are being packed in everyone's rucksacks!

Mr Craven is arriving at 8:00am to join the group for the day - just in time for breakfast!!!!

Well the penultimate day at Humphrey Head has been great! The groups have rotated around 3 activities today - fell walking, raft building and canoeing. The fell walking saw the children walk up Gummers Howe and the children enoyed seeing the wonderful views and could even see the group canoeing on Lake Windermere below them. Raft building and canoeing were a great success too!

The final evening meal was fantastic - the children have enjoyed a delicious lasagne with parmentier potatoes and sweetcorn followed by the most amazing sticky toffee pudding, with ice-cream, custard and extra toffee sauce! Not surprisingly Mr Craven stayed a little later than expected to enjoy the feast.

The evening has been spent enjoying some down time, getting packed up and a final dorm inspection - with bedtime quite soon on the horizon!

Mrs Fawcett reports that many of the children having been asking to stay longer which indicates what a special time they've all had.

Humphrey Head Challenge in the morning before setting off back to Lothersdale at 12:30pm. If arrival looks to be earlier or later than 2:30pm we'll let parents know!

Good night all! x
