All children are admitted in the September of the academic year in which they attain their fifth birthday, on or before the following 31st August.
Applications for admission to primary schools are made through North Yorkshire County Council - please follow the link below. As a member of the Yorkshire Collaborative Academy Trust (YCAT), we follow the trust-wide admissions policy, which is based upon the North Yorkshire County Council policy.
The YCAT admissions policy can be found below.
If you have a child who is due to start school in September 2022 (or future years), and you have not yet had a chance to tour our school, we have produced a presentation of photographs of Lothersdale Primary School. Please click on the attachment below to start the presentation. Mrs Bateman, the Reception class teacher, has also produced a short video clip explaining what the children experience in her classroom. We hope that the school's prospectus and visual presentations will give you some insight into life at Lothersdale Primary School.
Mrs Bateman is a very experienced Early Years teacher who is supported by excellent Teaching Assistants; together they will ensure that your child has the best possible introduction to school life.
We are now able to welcome prospective parents/carers to meet the headteacher and take a tour of the school. These visits usually take place at 2pm on an afternoon mutually convenient to yourself and the school. Please contact the School Office by telephone on 01535 632510 or by emailing email@example.com to arrange an appointment or to ask any further questions regarding admission to the school.
We look forward to welcoming you to Lothersdale Primary School.
